Youth Garden Club!

Create vegetable gardens in Skeeter's Garden! Games, cooking and art activities are part of the fun. Participants are expected to commit to attending the full season. Gardener's Plant Exchange

The Gardener's Plant Exchange is an economical way to add variety to your garden. Guidelines for the Exchange will be available at the Garden Gate Desk. When making your reservation, please provide a brief list of plants you plan to bring. NOTE: Participants may drop off plants and pick up vouchers starting at 8:00 am on September 4. Bus Trip: Indianapolis

Visit the Oldfields Gardens and home of the Lilly estate. After lunch, we'll tour the new Virginia Fairbanks Art and Nature Park, a former gravel pit reclaimed as wetlands, woodlands and prairies features outdoor art installations. We'll stop by Hayes Arboretum in Richmond on the way home. Bus returns by 5 or 5:30 PM. Fee is $56 and includes lunch. Reservations due by August 12, Make checks to Wegerzyn Gardens Foundation. Master Organic Gardening Methods Course
This in-depth, 17-week horticulture program includes these topics: botany for gardeners, plant propagation, herbaceous ornamentals, landscape design, native plants, herbs, plant pathology, and more.
Your Best Vegetable Garden - Gardening Course
A different topic will be covered each week that will lead to you growing "your best vegetable garden.” Weekly classes will include a lecture and hands-on activity. Guest speakers will be professional instructors from commercial and horticultural fields with expertise in the following topics: composting and soil preparation, planning, planting, pests, preservation, and projects.
Miami Valley Gardening Conference
Since 1996, the Wegerzyn Gardens Foundation and Five Rivers MetroParks have presented this conference as part of their commitment to horticultural education. Providing a full day of learning from experts on a variety of topics to over 300 gardeners, it is the largest and most successful conference of its kind in the region.
