What is Gear Fest?

From the kayaks we paddle to the vehicle that takes us there, outdoor play takes stuff. The growth in outdoor recreation also means an increase in recreation product needs and sales. Gear Fest, one of the largest expositions of new gear in the Midwest, allows individuals, outdoor clubs, and recreation oriented businesses to sell, buy and share information about their gear. Gear Fest is not only a great way to find out about the latest products, it’s also a celebration of the outdoor culture that includes:

  1. Demonstrations and instruction
  2. Exhibitor village
  3. Live music
  4. Mountain bike group ride
  5. Food
  6. Youth adventure play area
  7. Overnight camping
  8. Experiential activities - rock climbing, disc golf, paddle sports instruction and bike demos

This year’s Gear Fest will be held on October 4 at Eastwood Lake MetroPark and will invite over 500 outdoor retailers and national brands.
