Gather this Summer at RiverScape MetroPark
Passport to MetroParks
Bring your friends and family to explore RiverScape MetroPark on Friday, May 24, from 6 to 9 pm. Guests will receive a free passport and a chance to earn stamps for each activity they complete. Those who earn one stamp in each of five categories (conservation, cultural festivals, education, engagement and recreation) will be entered to win prizes. Throughout the event, guests can enjoy live music from The Luv Locz Experiment, food trucks, music bingo, climbing wall, dozens of family activities, games and more! Passport to MetroParks is presented by Huffy with additional support from CODE Credit Union.
Summer Music Series
Grab your lawn chair and dancing shoes and head to RiverScape MetroPark on select Thursday and Friday evenings this June, July, and August. Enjoy great music, food and dancing – featuring new, local talent and returning favorites. View our website for the full calendar. Sponsored by Jack W. & Sally D. Paddle the River
Paddle under the fountains with Taiters Kayak Solutions from June through September. Kayak rentals launch from under the Riverside Bridge along the Great Miami Recreational Trail. Visitors can paddle from RiverScape MetroPark (excluding the RiverRun whitewater feature) to Deeds Point MetroPark and even under the Five Rivers Fountain of Lights.
Rentals start at $12 and are available for beginning or advanced paddlers ages 14 and up. Kayak rental hours are:
- Tuesdays: 2 to 6 p.m.
- Thursdays: 4 to 8 p.m.
RiverScape Café
Ready for some dinner and drinks while you enjoy the fresh air? The RiverScape Café is getting a bit more spirited this summer with updates to its food selections and the addition of beer, wine and select mixed drinks to the menu.
The RiverScape Café will be open the following hours:
- April 25 to May 30: Thursdays – 5 to 8 p.m.
- June 4 to August 31: Tuesday through Saturday – 5 to 9 p.m.
- September 3 to October 24: Tuesdays and Thursdays – 5 to 9 p.m.
Enjoy the Fountains
Interactive Fountains
Cool off with a romp through the interactive fountains at Festival Plaza where multiple fountains push water as high as 20 feet, pulsing to the sounds of fun, family-friendly music. The interactive fountains will be open daily May 27 through September 1 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Fountain Snack Bar
Following your afternoon splash, stop by the Fountain Snack Bar to treat yourself and the family to delicious snacks, ice cream and more.
The snack bar will be open May 25 through September 1 with the following hours:
- Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 12 to 6 p.m.
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 12 to 8 p.m.
The Five Rivers Fountain of Lights
One of the largest fountains in the world, The Five Rivers Fountain of Lights is the stunning focal point of RiverScape MetroPark. The fountain shoots streams of water 200 feet in the air and 400 feet over the river, raining down at the center of the Great Miami.
The Five Rivers MetroParks Fountain of Lights operates for 10-minute intervals at the top of the hour from May 27 through September 1.
- Monday through Friday: 6:55 a.m. to 10:05 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 10:55 a.m. to 10:05 p.m.
The fountain may turn off early or not operate depending on wind and other weather conditions.
