Festivals and Fun Happening at RiverScape MetroPark this June

The Celtic Festival Returns to RiverScape

Dayton’s Celtic Festival returns to RiverScape MetroPark for a celebration of Celtic everything, and there will be plenty of Irish food, beer, music, culture and concerts. In addition to three stages set with continuous live entertainment, other festival activities will include a 5K/10K run/walk, parade of kilts, Gaelic Mass and Celtic marketplace. Cultural exhibits will also be held throughout the park with presentations on clogging, rugby, tin whistle music, history, language, general music, sessions, bouzouki music, St. Brigad, piping, symbolism, wolfhounds, highland dancing, folk lore, banjo music, hurling and more.

Of course, the amazing music is probably why the Celtic Festival is continually rated the top festival in Dayton, and this year’s line-up will be sure to entertain. Headliners include Gaelic Storm, The Fitzgeralds, JigJam, Socks in the Frying Pan, Davy Holt and The Drowsy Lads. There will also be over 20 different Celtic acts and local dance groups, including Celtic Academy of Irish Dance, Dwyer School of Irish Dance and McGovern Irish Dance.

  • Friday, July 26 – 5:30 to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 27 – 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 28 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
