Festival Season Continues at RiverScape MetroPark this August

Festival Season Continues at RiverScape

African American Cultural Festival

The 18th annual Dayton African American Cultural Festival is a two-day, family event which celebrates the richness of African American culture. This year, the festival will be held at RiverScape MetroPark.

Join us on Saturday to experience an African village with drumming and storytelling, explore displays of paintings, authors and illustrators, and learn about educational opportunities throughout the area. Live music performances will include R&B, hip hop, jazz and blues. Then, come back on Sunday for the Gospel Explosion.

  • Saturday, August 17 – noon to 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 18 – noon to 6 p.m.

Hispanic Heritage Festival

The Hispanic Heritage Festival invites you to come out and share your own cultural heritage, learn about other countries, support a good cause or simply enjoy some good food, good music and good times! Activities include live music, raffles, beer booths, educational cultural displays, dance troupes, craft and merchandise vendors, and amazing foods from Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Peru.

The Rubber Duck Regatta will also be swimming through the Great Miami River beginning at 4:30 p.m., so don’t forget to adopt your ducks!

  • Saturday, September 21 – 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
